We love all of the colorful, versatile, and downright delicious vegetables of spring & summer and we have just the right person to help make the most of this beautiful bounty. Farmer, food blogger, and newly minted cookbook author Andrea Bemis joins us at the Hall for Book Fete on June 11th 12-2pm. In her cookbook, Dishing Up the Dirt, Andrea shares what she knows about breathing new life into vegetable recipes.

Andrea and her husband run Tumbleweed Farm in Hood River County, where they grow organic vegetables. Andrea’s experience in the field and in the kitchen offers simple but delicious ways to cook them while in season. Her warmth and enthusiasm really shines through in her recipes and her cookbook showcases the best of her flavourful, nourishing recipes. Andrea will be sharing her tips and tricks for Maximizing Your CSA Haul. Our kitchen will also be preparing some of the recipes for you to try along with some of our favorite wine and bubbles.

Bring your copy of Dishing Up the Dirt for Andrea to sign or you can purchase one at Book Fete. Join us for a friendly afternoon of food and fun!
